Bird's Eye

Hey there! So, here it goes. This is the first blog post, first shot in the dark and first try to see how things go. For a few reasons I've felt like starting a blog, so here it goes!

More than anything, I just want to give an inside view onto my life, as well as have a place I can put all my thoughts down. So I'll start with yesterday!

Unlike most days, yesterday I woke up not feeling so hot with a really bad ear ache. I had an interview at the temple, and then was driving to Macey's to pick up a new charger. On my way over I saw a guy and an adorable child on the side of road by Smith's. I drove past them and felt {You should see if they need a ride} I remembered the many times I had felt that prompting and the good that came from it, so I turned around, pulled in and asked if they needed a ride somewhere. I found out very soon that they didn't speak much English, so I started speaking in Spanish (thank you Peru!) They said yes, they need a ride to Walmart for some Transformers for Mateo's (the little boy) birthday.

So off we went! I found out they were also members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and we talked about missions and the church a little bit. I figured I'd just drop them off, but they were down to go with me and shop together, and it was actually a ton of fun!

We drove back and I dropped them off at their house. On the way home however, he asked me "Why did you give us a ride?" I said that I had felt a prompting by the Spirit to pick them up, and so I did. He said he was praying there would be some way they could get there without having to walk or take the bus, and I came as an angel to answer their prayers.

I guess the Lord always knows what is going on because He hears all of our prayers. Glad that I could be of help to answer them today!

The rest of the day was pretty chill, trying to get over this weird virus I have. I got so stir crazy though I decided to go for a chill hike, and on my way over called a friend I had just met (a boy haha) It was a lot of fun! We have a lot in common and it was refreshing to get to know someone who was raised very similar with a big family and good values. So we'll see!

This morning I went to the doctor for my ear, had a hearing test (reminded me of some psychological experiment sitting in a room by myself as he stared through a one way mirror haha) and then had a job interview at Orem Rehab and Nursing for an Assistant Activities director (which is exactly what I want to do!) aaaaaannnnndd..... GOT THE JOB!

I'm seriously so stoke for the new beginnings that are happening in my life and the rainfall of blessings that the Lord is sending down. Feel like I can't always see very much, but thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who has a bird's eye view of everything that is going on. Life is GOOD!

The World of Infertility

The World of Infertility  Hey there.  This is something that has been on my mind for what feels like a very. long. time.  Infertility, loss, pregnancy, miscarriage, etc.  I want this post to be helpful for anyone who might read it. Someone who is also struggling to get pregnant. Someone who has never experienced infertility. And someone who knows someone who is struggling with this issue. As always, this is just my opinion and my thoughts- take as you will!  The Story  Infertility looks sooo different for everyone. For some, it is the inability to get pregnant. For others, it is a miscarriage, for everyone, it is the inability to have children when you want to.  When we first started the journey of trying to get pregnant, it was exciting! I had a hormonal IUD that I got removed two months before we started really trying. Each month I wasn't sure what to expect and I googled symptoms and signs like none other. As the months continued to drag on, I stopp...

I Am Never Getting Married

Hi there.  One, two, three, four. Yup. Straight up four posts in a row on Instagram of people announcing they are engaged, married or having a child. Cool.  Hands go up around the room to answer the professor's question. One, two, three, four. Yup. Literally, every single girl in this room is married beside me. The sparkle-less finger on my hand seems to stick out like a sore thumb.  I have definitely felt the sting of being single many times in my life, as I'm sure most single-adults have. It's nothing new, it's nothing bad, but at times, it really does sting.  Everyone gets married at different ages, everyone has different experiences. Some meet someone in their early twenties, some meet them later on in life. Culture, experience, expectations, and personality all make the process of dating and marriage differ for each of us. For some, getting married is a pressing goal that is just not attainable any time soon. For others, it may not be something they are yet year...

How I Will Vote as an Average American

How I Choose to Vote as an Average American  "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing." - Unknown  Who I Am I am an average American.  I say that, because I am.  I grew up in a middle-upper class family. I said the pledge of allegiance every morning in school. I learned about the constitution in school but somehow memorized none of it.  I never liked talking about politics because I felt stupid and uninformed. I felt like I never knew enough. We never talked about it at home and that was okay with me. I don’t really understand the stock market, I’d rather watch movies than the news, and spend most of my free time focused on having fun with family and friends.  However, when I went back to school to get my Master’s in Public Administration, I found myself in a government class. It was the hardest class in the world for me. I really had to work to understand the checks and balances, structure, and principles that govern our country.  I graduated with...
